The short version: there is no account, nothing you type is sent to us, and your career is saved on your own device. What follows is the detail.
Your career save
Your player’s name, club, statistics and season history are stored in your browser’s own local storage. They never leave your device and we cannot read them. Clearing your browser’s site data deletes the save permanently — there is no copy anywhere else and no way for us to restore it.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and to see how far people get into a career. It is privacy-friendly by design: it does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not build a profile of you. Vercel processes IP addresses transiently to produce an anonymous visitor count and does not store them.
Alongside page views we record three anonymous events: a career being started, a career finishing, and the practice kick being played. These carry only coarse figures — a position, a rating, a games-played band, how the career ended. They never include your player’s name, the club you barrack for, or anything else you typed.
Advertising
Footy Legend does not currently show ads. If advertising is added in future it will be served by Google AdSense, which may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Where the law requires consent, you will be asked for it before any such cookie is set, and you will be able to decline. This page will be updated before any ad is served.
What we never collect
No accounts, no email addresses, no passwords, no payment details, no contact details. There is nothing to sign up for, so there is nothing of that kind to collect, store or lose.
Children
The game is suitable for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
